Rumor: Qualcomm Snapdragon

Qualcomm is reportedly working on a PC SoC called Snapdragon X Elite. The SoC would be equipped with Oryon cores and use the 4nm process. The processor may be launched on the market in mid-2024.

That writes Windowsreport based on possible leaked marketing images from Qualcomm. The company recently announced the Snapdragon In the images, Qualcomm seems to claim that the SoC with twelve Oryon performance cores is ‘up to’ twice as fast as competing x86 SoCs. The CPU only seems to have twelve performance cores and no energy-efficient cores. The cores have a base clock speed of 3.8GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.3GHz.

The unknown Adreno GPU with a computing power of 4.6Tflops should also deliver a GPU twice as fast. In addition to Wi-Fi 7, the SoC would also support 5G and Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon X Elite uses only a third of the energy compared to competing x86 CPUs. Since these are alleged marketing images and the company does not make a concrete comparison, the information should be taken with a grain of salt.
