Rumor: OnePlus will release a budget smartphone with a 6000mAh battery

OnePlus is reportedly planning to release a smartphone for around $ 200 this year. The 6.5 “screen of the smartphone would have 1560×720 pixels and OnePlus would like to provide the device with a 6000mAh battery.

OnePlus is working on the entry-level smartphone under the internal code name Clover, Android Central claims, that the information about the device was given. The phone is said to contain a Snapdragon 460 soc. Qualcomm announced that eight-core 11nm soc at the beginning of this year. Furthermore, Clover would be equipped with 4GB of ram and 64GB of flash storage.

On the back, the smartphone would have three cameras, the main one offering a resolution of 13 megapixels, supplemented by two 2-megapixel cameras. The screen would have a diagonal of 6.5 inches, with an IPS panel that can display a resolution of 1560×720 pixels. The battery capacity of 6000mAh is ample and in combination with the relatively low screen resolution, the battery life should probably become one of the selling points, if the information from Android Central is correct.

It would be the first time that OnePlus focuses on the entry-level market, a segment in which it will compete with Xiaomi, Realme and Lenovo’s Motorola, among others. It is also striking that Android Central claims that the device also appears in the United States, for 200 dollars. The OnePlus Nord did not appear there.
