Rumor: OnePlus Nord 2T gets faster MediaTek soc and 80W fast charging

OnLeaks claims that the OnePlus Nord 2T will receive an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 1300-soc that should be faster than the Dimensity 1200 of the Nord 2. The new smartphone should also be able to fast charge with 80W, 15W more than the Nord 2.

Not much is known about the new Dimensity 1300-soc yet. According to OnLeaks, this is supplied in the Nord 2T with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, it shares with Digit. The Nord 2 is also available with 12GB of RAM. The 6GB variant of the Nord 2T can be supplied with 128GB or 256GB storage, the 8GB version only comes with 256GB storage.

In addition to fast charging, the further specifications of the smartphone seem to match. For example, both phones have a 4500mAh battery and a 6.43″ screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The Nord 2 has an OLED screen, OnLeaks expects that this will also be the case with the 2T. The Nord 2 had an OLED screen. camera hole at the top left of the screen for the 32-megapixel sensor. The 2T will also get a 32-megapixel sensor. Whether there is another hole in the screen for this sensor is not clear. On the back are a 50-megapixel camera, 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor.

OnLeaks says the Nord 2T will be unveiled “very soon” in India, citing the month of February. The article lists a release date of March 26.
