Rumor: Nvidia to release GeForce GTX 960 Ti
Nvidia is said to be planning to release a GeForce GTX 960 Ti, although it is still unclear whether ‘Ti’ will indeed be the addition used. There is already an oem edition that Nvidia could release as a Ti version.
That OEM edition has ten streaming multiprocessors, WCCF Tech notes. That’s the GTX 960 OEM. This card has 1280 Cuda cores and a 192bit memory bus. The normal GTX 960 has a 128bit memory bus and 1024 cores. The card will be based on the Maxwell 2.0 GPU architecture. It is not yet known when the card will be released.
The generally knowledgeable Benchlife reported earlier this week that the GTX 960 Ti will likely have between 1280 and 1408 Cuda cores, positioning this card between the GTX 960 with 1024 Cuda cores and the GTX 970 with 1664 Cuda cores. core. The price range in which the two existing cards are located is between 215 and 350 euros, so it seems logical that the Ti is positioned in between, around 250-280 euros, in order to compete with the Radeon R9 380X.
