Nvidia is reportedly working on a GeForce GTX 1660 Super video card. VideoCardz claims that sources within Asus have confirmed this. The Super variant of the 1660 would have much faster gddr6 video memory instead of gddr5.

Asus is working on three 1660 Super models, VideoCardz reports. This concerns video cards in the Dual Evo, Phoenix, and TUF3 series. The GTX 1660 Super is rumored to have gddr6 memory with a speed of 14Gbit/s. It is striking that the higher positioned GTX 1660 Ti has gddr6 memory with a speed of 12 Gbit/s. The current GTX 1660 has to make do with gddr5 memory at 8Gbit/s.

According to VideoCardz, the GTX 1660 Super contains as many Cuda cores as the current GTX 1660. The amount of video memory also remains the same with 6GB. So it seems purely to upgrade to gddr6.

There have been rumors for some time about the arrival of a GTX 1660 Super with faster memory. The video card should be released sometime in October. In addition, there are also rumors about the arrival of a GTX 1650 Ti. According to Chinese website ITHOME, the 1650 Ti will be released on October 22, but there are no concrete indications or details about the specifications.
