Rumor: Nvidia Introduces GeForce RTX Super Graphics on July 2

Nvidia is said to be planning to announce GeForce graphics cards in the RTX Super series on July 2. The reviews of the RTX Super 2080 would appear later in July. Information about the cards has come out drop by drop in recent weeks.

On July 2, Nvidia will announce the GeForce RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080 in the Super series, but on that day only the embargo on the reviews of the 2060 and 2070 Super will expire, Videocardz claims, which is often right as it publishes Nvidia rumours. That day would also only allow reviews of the 2060 and 2070 Super cards from Nvidia itself, those of cards from partners of the company, such as Asus, MSI and Gigabyte, will not be online until July 9.

On which date the reviews of the RTX Super 2080 will be online is still unknown. That would be sometime later in July. The prices of the tickets are still unknown. Videocardz already shows a mock-up of the RTX 2080 Super. The launch schedule matches Wccftech’s information from late last week, but that site previously published erroneous data. Wccftech now also publishes the alleged suggested retail prices: $800 for the NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 Super, $600 for the 2070 Super and $430 for the 2060 Super. It is not known whether these will actually be the recommended retail prices.

Nvidia itself posted a teaser for ‘Super’ at the end of May, without giving details. It is rumored to be a refresh of the RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080. Videocardz is already publishing some product type numbers of the upcoming cards from Asus, Gigabyte and Palit, as well as the upcoming Radeon RX 5700 series.
