Rumor: Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti will be released in three weeks for $279
Nvidia is set to release its GeForce GTX 1660 Ti in three weeks for $279. That reports HardOCP. Other cards with Turing GPUs, but without ray tracing support, should be released within a few months.
According to HardOCP, the TI version will be followed by the GTX 1660 for $229 in early March and a GTX 1650 for $179 will also be released in March, the site claims. The exact release dates and prices could change before release.
The cheaper cards would not support ray tracing, as the more expensive RTX 2000 cards do, but would have GPUs on the new Turing architecture. Nvidia has not yet announced anything about new GTX cards. HardOCP does not always have correct information, but in the past it has often proven to have correct data at an early stage.
There have been rumors of a GTX 1600 series for some time now. Information also emerged that the GTX 1660 Ti would be the first. According to that rumor, that card has a TU116 GPU with 1536 cuda cores. The RTX 2060 has a TU106 with 1920 cores.
