The third version of the foldable folding phone Motorola razr has a high-end soc, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Previous razr’s had less powerful socs. The phone is coming to Europe, according to a rumor.

The razr 3 has an OLED screen with full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, claims XDA-Developers based on information from a source. That screen does not have a notch like the 2019 razr and 2020 razr 5G, but a hole in the screen for the camera. There is also a screen on the outside, but details about it are lacking.

There will be variants with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of memory, claims the site. In addition to NFC, there is also support for Uwb, Ultrawideband. Smartphone makers can use that chip to locate nearby objects and unlock cars, if they support it.

Last month it became clear that Lenovo is working on a new razr. Since the 5G variant from 2020, Lenovo has not released a foldable phone.
