A successor to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go has been leaked via a South Korean retailer. The leak follows earlier rumors that Microsoft is planning to introduce a new version of its entry-level Surface laptop.

The Surface Laptop Go 2 appeared on the Korean retailer’s website, reports The Verge. The mention of the laptop has since been taken offline again. The message follows shortly after a earlier rumor from WinFuture that the laptop will cost $650.

According to the Korean site, the Surface Laptop Go 2 will get an Intel i5-1135G7. The cheapest variant is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. According to the specifications, the laptop has a battery life of 13.5 hours.

Furthermore, the Surface Go 2 again gets a screen with the 3:2 ratio and the new version has the same ports as its predecessor: a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack and a port for the typical Surface charger. The laptop would also get a fingerprint reader under the power button again.

Microsoft has not yet announced the laptop and therefore no official release date has yet been announced. The laptop is rumored to be available for pre-order from June 2. The first Microsoft Surface Laptop Go appeared in 2020 and then stood out for the build quality and finish in its price range.
