Rumor: LG G3 version with more storage also has more RAM

The version of the upcoming LG G3 with 16GB of storage has a RAM of 2GB, while the one with 32GB of storage has 3GB of RAM. That is what the usually reliable blog GSMArena claims.

However much the storage is, it will at least be expandable with a microSD card, GSMArena says. It would be the first time that a manufacturer known in the West also gives a version with more storage memory more working memory. This does occur with Chinese smartphones, but manufacturers such as Samsung, Apple, HTC and Sony have never done so.

The G3 will have a battery with the same capacity as the G2, the site says: 3000mAh. With this, the manufacturer does not seem to aim for a longer battery life: although the Snapdragon 801 soc used can be more economical than the Snapdragon 800 in the G2, the screen will demand more from the battery.

The telecom blog reiterates that the G3 will have a 5.5″ screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Like its predecessor, the phone has buttons on the back and a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. LG has its own event on May 27. planned on which it will most likely present the Android smartphone.
