Apple may come with new models of the iMac series that are equipped with improved screens and faster processors. MacRumors reports this based on statements by analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, who has proven more reliable in the past.

The iMacs would get improved screens that use a phosphor material called KSF that allows the LEDs to display more saturated colors. In addition, the iMacs will receive new processors, but it is unclear whether these will come from Intel’s Broadwell or Skylake range. The new iMacs should be released in the third quarter of this year.

Kuo has not said anything about the 21-inch models of the iMac series. None of these have been released since 2013, and these Macs, for example, don’t have a Retina display yet. These models may also be included in these innovations.
