Rumor: Huawei Mate 9 will get dual 20-megapixel camera

The Huawei Mate 9 is rumored to have a dual 20-megapixel camera and a Kirin 960 chipset. Reportedly, the Kirin 960-soc would have the new Cortex-A73 cores and be baked at 16nm.

The dual 20-megapixel camera would be equipped with optical image stabilization or ois. As with the Huawei P9, the dual camera will be equipped with one for black and white and one for color. This should allow better pictures to be taken. By combining the image of the two lenses, more light could be captured. It is not yet clear which type of camera sensor or sensors will be used for this new phone.

The Kirin 960 chipset running on eight cores was developed by Huawei itself. It is not yet known what the speed will be, but various rumors point to 2.8GHz. The My Drivers site thinks that it will be a new top model from Huawei and that it will probably have a screen with a diagonal of 5.9 “.

A leaked image also appeared on Monday, although it turned out to be a Mate 8 with information about Mate 9. The Huawei Mate 9 will probably be released in December.
