Huawei may release the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro on September 19, equipped with the new Kirin 990 chipset and Emui 10, based on Android Q. Huawei Consumer Business Software President Wang Chenglu is said to have said at a media briefing.

Hi-Tech Mail.ru writes about this, which has been translated by, among others, 9to5Google. Further information besides the os, the soc and the release date is not given. The development of Emui 10 is advanced, as was already known. Huawei showed the operating system this week at the Huawei Developers Conference in China, of which several sites, including XDA, have made a hands-on.

Earlier this month, it was also rumored that the Mate 30 Pro will have two 40-megapixel cameras with large sensors. The primary camera’s sensor would be 1/1.55″ in size, while the ultra-wide-angle camera would have a 1/1.7″ sensor. Another rumor speaks of a 90Hz display.

Technology fair IFA will take place from 6 to 11 September in Berlin. Huawei is most likely also present there and may reveal more information there. For example, the Kirin 980 was announced there last year.
