Rumor: GoPro Hero4 can shoot 1080p slow-mo videos at 120fps
The successor to the current GoPro Hero3+ camera could shoot slow-motion videos at 1080p resolution at 120fps and at 720p at 240fps. That would appear from a rumor about the new small camera. GoPro has not confirmed that yet.
In addition to making slow-motion videos at 1080p with a speed of 120fps, the camera can also record in 4k at 30fps, claims Dgise. The function is made possible by using a new soc, the Ambarella A9. This 32nm soc has two Cortex A9 processor cores and Ambarella-made chips for image processing.
The GoPro Hero4 is said to have a 13-megapixel camera with a lens made for taking images in the dark. The Hero4 also has built-in support for WiFi, HDMI and USB. The camera will go on sale in the summer of 2014 for a converted price of around 250 euros. GoPro has not confirmed or denied the rumor.
