Google is set to release the Pixel 4a, but is delaying the announcement until mid-July due to “market conditions.” That’s a new rumor, which also speaks of actual availability in August and October, depending on the color.

The new postponement is reported by Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech, which regularly reports correctly about products that have not yet been announced, although these are usually Apple products. According to him, the Pixel 4a is ready to be released, but Google chooses not to announce the smartphone until July 13 “due to market conditions”.

It would mean another postponement for the smartphone, whose properties have already been leaked many times. Google was initially expected to unveil the Pixel 4a at its I/O 2020 developer conference May 12-14, but that event fell through. There the announcement was rumored to take place on May 22, but then a rumor spoke of early June.

Prosser also reports that he is confused by the postponement. According to him, the blue Pixel 4a will be available on August 6 and the black only October 1. He also reports that the Pixel 5 will probably also be delayed.
