Rumor: Google Pixel foldable phone will be released in the fall
The foldable Google Pixel Fold phone would be released this fall, a South Korean site claims. Previously, Samsung would not supply the displays that Google needs for the devices. Previous rumors stated a spring release.
Samsung supplies the displays and will only produce them from the summer, claims The Elec. The South Korean site has often shown that it has reliable sources within Samsung, although it later turned out that not all the information the site posted was correct.
The South Korean manufacturer would start producing the panels in July and August. These would technically be about two years behind the screens that Samsung itself uses in its foldable smartphones.
With a release in the fall, the phone would be delayed. Google would like to release the phone this spring. This is also stated on the roadmap that appeared online a few weeks ago. Previous rumors also pointed to a release this spring.
