Rumor: Google Pixel 4 smartphones will get 90Hz OLED screen
According to a rumor, the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL will both have an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Google would call that Smooth Display. The second camera on the back would have a telephoto lens.
Both the small and the large variant are rumored to have a Snapdragon 855-soc, 6GB of ram and 64 or 128GB of flash storage. Website 9to5google claims to have received the specifications from a reliable source. The Pixel 4 would get a 2800mAh battery and the battery capacity of the Pixel 4 XL would be 3700mAh.
Google already showed the back of the Pixel 4 in June and it turned out that the device will have two cameras on the back. It would be a regular camera with a 12-megapixel sensor and a telephoto camera with a 16-megapixel sensor. Code in the Google Camera app hinted at that earlier.
At the end of July, Google also announced that it was integrating its Soli radar into its Pixel 4 smartphones. It should enable precise gesture control and facial recognition. It is also already known that the Titan M security chip that first appeared in the Pixel 3 will also end up in Google’s new Android smartphones. Google is expected to announce all the details about the Pixel 4 in October.
Update, Friday: The dslr-like addition that was discussed earlier turns out to be the software Pro mode. The article has been adapted accordingly.
