According to a new rumor, Google is working on the software ‘Coach’, which focuses on health and fitness. In addition to tracking movement, the search giant wants to give users suggestions for, for example, nutrition.

Google calls it Project Wooden and its tentative name is Google Coach, says Android Police. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the search giant wants to provide useful suggestions for sports, health and nutrition within the service, which initially focuses on use on smartwatches with Wear OS. To prevent too many notifications, Coach bundles messages on various topics in a conversation interface.

Just like Google Fit, Coach must now track movement, with the addition of workouts and other elements. Users should also be able to monitor their power supply via the software. The software then provides suggestions for obtaining healthy food nearby based on location and patterns.

Coach should also work on phones after its debut on Wear OS, although tracking will only function via the smartwatch. Other platforms should also support the software in the future. Android Police is undecided on when Coach should debut. Google is reportedly set to launch smartwatches in its Pixel line of products this fall and that would be a logical time to show the software for the first time.
