Google is probably planning to provide a new business version of Glass with a processor from Intel’s Atom series. Also, a larger prism would be used to improve the projected screen and battery life would have been improved.

The rumors about the so-called Enterprise Edition of Google Glass come from 9To5Google, who speaks of multiple, unspecified sources. According to those sources, Google plans to build an Atom soc from Intel in an unannounced version of the Glass glasses. It is not known exactly which model it would be. Furthermore, compared to the previous version, Google would like to implement a number of improvements. For example, a larger prism should be used so that the screen is projected in a more comfortable position for the eye. Also, the projected screen would be of better quality.

In addition, the battery in the new version of Glass should last longer. It is not known how much the battery life has improved, but according to the sources of 9To5Google it is a ‘moderate improvement’. Work would also be done on an external battery pack with unknown specifications.

Google itself has already indicated that it is working on a new version of the Glass glasses. Sales of the previous version were stopped some time ago. The internet giant itself indicated that with the previous version it wanted to investigate the social implications of the glasses in social life. Glass was, however, briefly sold to consumers.

Recent rumors indicate that the new version of Glass should be released soon, but Google has not announced anything about this yet. The company has yet to give any details about the upcoming version of its glasses.
