Rumor: Galaxy Note 4 advises users on sunbathing thanks to UV sensor
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would like to use the built-in ultraviolet sensor to warn the user if he is left in the sun for too long. Samsung wants to use its S Health app for this.
That reports Sammobile. The Galaxy Note 4 should be the first smartphone with an integrated UV sensor. The S Health app, which Samsung already provides on various devices, is said to have been adapted in such a way that it can provide advice based on the UV index. This index has five levels: low, medium, high, very high and extreme. Based on the strength of the UV light, S Health indicates whether or not the user should avoid direct sunlight.
To calculate the UV index, the Note 4’s UV sensor must be held at a 60-degree angle to the sun. Then the S Health app calculates the corresponding UV index. The app also provides general information about the risks of UV radiation and sunbathing for too long.
There are many rumors going around about the Note 4, which would be launched in November. For example, there is talk of a flexible AMOLED screen. According to another rumor, the screen has 2560×1440 pixels and would be 5.7 “in size. The device would also have a 16 megapixel camera and possibly a Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 5433 soc.
