Rumor: EA is also delaying Battlefield 2042 betas
Electronic Arts and DICE may also be delaying beta testing for Battlefield 2042. They are officially planned for September, but are rumored to be available in October. Earlier this week, the release of the game was already delayed.
Tom Henderson reports on Twitter that the early access beta and open beta will be postponed to October 6 and 8, respectively. The leaker writes that this data is shared with media and content creators. The beta days are expected to be officially announced ‘in the next few days’.
Henderson is a well-known Battlefield insider. He was one of the leakers who reported early that Battlefield 2042 would be delayed by a few weeks. That was confirmed on Wednesday evening by EA and DICE, who pushed the new release date by four weeks to November 19.
The two companies have not yet officially confirmed that the Battlefield 2042 beta releases have been delayed. DICE employee Oskar Gabrielson reported Wednesday evening that the studio will come with updates about the upcoming test version of the multiplayer shooter “later this month”.
