Rumor: Corsair MP600 Pro SSD with speeds up to 7GB/s will be released January 28th
An unannounced Corsair MP600 Pro SSD has appeared at an online store. This SSD has a PCIe 4.0 interface and, according to the webshop, achieves sequential read speeds of up to 7GB/s. The drive was set to release on January 28.

Corsair has not yet officially announced the SSD, but the drive was temporarily on display at Amazon DE, Twitter user also noted. momomo_us on. The ssd has now also appeared at Amazon NL, where the ssd can be pre-ordered for 264.83 euros. Based on the model number, that price is presumably for a 1TB variant. The alleged release date of January 28 is also mentioned by Amazon. The web store put the AMD Ryzen 3000XT CPUs online early last year, including the correct release date.
The SSD has an M.2 form factor, just like the current MP600. In addition, the Pro variant again uses tlc-nand, according to a description of the webshop. The drive offers sequential read and write speeds of 7000MB/s and 6850MB/s respectively. Random speeds are not mentioned, although Amazon does mention a total bytes written of 3600 written terabytes. The SSD comes with a heat sink.
The web store does not report which controller the MP600 Pro has, but the SSD presumably has a PS5018-E18. Introduced in 2019, this PCIe 4.0 controller supports maximum speeds comparable to the MP600 Pro. The current Corsair Force MP600 uses a Phison PS5016-E16 controller.
It is not yet clear which storage capacities will be available, in addition to the aforementioned variant, which presumably offers 1TB of storage space. However, different model numbers have appeared, which indicate SSDs with 1TB and 2TB of storage space. In addition, MP600 Pro XT model numbers are mentioned, insinuating the arrival of SSDs that are faster than the MP600 Pro discussed above.
