Coolblue’s IPO will take place after the summer, reports Het Financieele Dagblad. The online store company has so far not confirmed that it will go public, but has already said that it is “thinking hard” about an IPO.

Coolblue would be working on internal preparations in the coming months, reports Het Financieele Dagblad. For example, someone would have to be trained to maintain contacts with shareholders on behalf of the company. The CFO will also be on maternity leave in the near future. A CFO is the executive who is responsible for finances within a company.

According to the business newspaper, the company hopes to raise between three and four billion euros with the IPO. Shareholders can purchase a maximum of 49 percent of the shares. Owner and founder Pieter Zwart owns 51 percent of the shares. The shares will be released because investment company HAL would leave the company.

Coolblue already said in February that it was ‘thinking hard’ about an IPO. The company has not yet confirmed that the IPO will indeed take place. The web store company had a turnover of almost two billion euros last year and a gross profit or EBITDA of 114 million euros.
