Asus seems to be planning to release a phone aimed at gamers. The device would bear the Republic of Gamers brand name and will be unveiled during Computex. No specifications are known yet.

The rumor comes from GeekSnipper, who claims to have contacts with a Taiwanese insider. According to the insider, Asus will announce the RoG smartphone during Computex 2018. The fair will take place between 5 and 9 June.

It is not yet known what the specifications of the device will be. GeekSnipper speculates that it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845-soc and 8GB of ram and a choice of a 60Hz or 120Hz display. This information and the price are expected to be announced with the announcement.

Asus is not the first manufacturer to come up with a phone for gamers. Earlier this year, Razer released the Razer Phone. Black Shark, a company partnering with Xiaomi, also announced a gamer phone last month.
