Rumor: Apple will present iPhone 14 models on September 7
Apple reportedly wants to present its iPhone 14 models on September 7. The release of the phones would then take place on September 16. It’s the time of year that Apple has been presenting its iPhones for years.
Bloomberg writes from various sources to have heard the date of 7 September. Store staff would also have been told that they should take into account a release of the devices on September 16. Apple usually leaves a week and a half between the presentation and the release of its iPhones.
For years, Apple has taken the first or second Wednesday in September as the time to present new iPhones, with a release a week and a half later. Sometimes some models also appear later. This happened with the iPhone X in 2017, XR in 2018 and 12 mini and Pro Max in 2020.
It would be four models this year: an iPhone 14, a larger ‘iPhone 14 Max’, an iPhone 14 Pro and a Pro Max model. Compared to previous years, this means that the cheapest mini model disappears. The Pro models would also become more expensive, according to a recent rumor. In addition, according to rumors, there will be more difference between the regular and Pro models. For example, the Pro models are the only ones with the new design with the holes in the screen for the front camera and Face ID, while the Pro models are also the only ones with the new Apple soc on board.
