Rumor: Apple wants to present ‘iPhone 9’ in mid-April

Apple would like to announce its iPhone 9 on or around April 15. The device would be available around April 22. It is about the phone that is seen as the iPhone SE successor. Presumably, the housing is similar to that of the iPhone 8.

The dates are mentioned by YouTuber Jon Prosser. He says on Twitter that the information comes from an Apple meeting. The data would not be fixed due to the current corona pandemic. On Monday, 9to5mac already reported that cases for a new iPhone with a 4.7-inch screen have been delivered to branches of an American electronics store. These are intended for sale from April 5.

There have been rumors for a long time about the arrival of a new relatively small iPhone. Possibly that device will be called iPhone 9. It would be a design that resembles that of the iPhone 8, with again a 16:9 screen. The source code of iOS 14 would also indicate the arrival of a larger version, possibly the iPhone 9 Plus. Both devices would get an A13 soc, just like the iPhone 11 models.
