Rumor: Apple to announce noise-canceling AirPods Pro at the end of October
According to Chinese media, Apple will announce AirPods that will receive the Pro addition at the end of October. They would have noise canceling and a new housing. The AirPods Pro are rumored to cost $260.
MacRumors reports this based on reports in the Chinese newspaper China Economic Daily. That writes that the new AirPods have a new in-ear design with noise canceling built in. According to newspaper reports, it also seems that the AirPods will get a new metal housing. They could conduct heat better. The AirPods would cost 260 dollars, converted about 230 euros. That is a lot more expensive than the price of the current AirPods.
It’s no surprise that the new generation of AirPods will probably get noise canceling. Earlier this month, a beta of iOS 13.2 was released, which showed a render of two AirPods that appear to have rubber caps. There are also modes in the OS that seem to have to do with noise canceling. Apple may hold an event later this month where the company will announce new hardware. According to Chinese reports, the AirPods Pro would therefore be announced.
