Apple will offer the option to view lyrics for songs that users play in Apple Music, claims 9to5 Mac. That should happen with a major update to the music service’s features and interface, which Apple released last year.

The new version of Apple Music will be released at the same time as iOS 10, the update to Apple’s mobile operating system due this fall, says 9to5 Mac. It won’t be possible to view all of the lyrics right away, but the Apple fan site source says there will be a “good amount” of songs with lyrics available right away.

Apple works with record labels to make the lyrics available on its streaming service. Those who currently want to see lyrics on iPhones or iPads must manually convert them into a music file via a desktop and synchronize those files with the iOS device, the Apple fan site notes.

In addition to lyrics, Apple is rumored to be swapping Music’s colorful interface for a more black-and-white look. Pictures of albums will be bigger. This should make the whole look simpler. Apple will replace the ‘New’ function with a ‘Browse’ function.

Apple released its streaming service last summer. There is an app for iOS and Apple first released one of its services for Android phones with Music. As a streaming service, Music is a competitor of Google Play Music, Microsoft Groove, Spotify, Deezer and Napster, among others.
