Rumor: Apple provides 12.9-inch iPad Pro with stylus and USB-C port
The larger iPad Pro, which has been rumored for some time, will be equipped with usb type c and a stylus that works via bluetooth. In addition, the large iPad would also receive support for Force Touch and NFC. AppleInsider claims that based on an anonymous source.
The larger iPad with 12.9″ screen gets a new type of touchscreen that would offer an improved latency when combined with a stylus. That stylus would work on bluetooth and support pressure-sensitive input. The screen would also support Force Touch and thus be virtually clickable , just like the trackpad of the last generation of MacBooks and the Apple Watch.
In addition, Apple would provide the iPad Pro – that name is unconfirmed – with a USB-C connection. AppleInsider’s source couldn’t say if that port will replace the Lightning port, which doesn’t seem likely. Previous images of the iPad Pro show two connections, which means that the USB interface probably comes in addition to the Lightning connection.
Finally, the upcoming big iPad would have support for nfc. This is probably not intended for tap-to-pay, but it might make it possible that the tablet can serve as a payment terminal for Apple Pay and NFC could also be used for pairing with, for example, the stylus.
It is not yet known when the iPad Pro should be released.
