Rumor: Apple is considering $400 price for upcoming wearable
Apple would consider asking for a price of 400 dollars, converted just over 300 euros, for its upcoming wearable, which it will probably announce on September 9. However, the exact price is still under discussion internally.
That reports Recode, which usually has reliable sources. According to the site, a number of Apple executives have held talks and discussed a price of around $400 for Apple’s first wearable, which it has yet to announce. However, Recode’s sources also state that cheaper versions are coming on the market, but it is still unclear how they differ from the top model.
According to Recode, no final decision has been made on the price of the wearable, which is presumably a smartwatch. The price of 400 dollars, converted just over 300 euros, is comparable to the price of Samsung’s Gear 2 smartwatch and the Pebble Steel. The LG G Watch is about 100 euros cheaper. However, the recently announced G Watch R will also cost around 300 euros.
Recode recently reported that Apple’s first wearable will probably not be sold until early 2015. However, Apple would like to announce the suspected smartwatch on September 9, at the same time as two new iPhones.
