Google is said to be planning to start rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop on November 3. Then the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will get the software, but the Nexus smartphones would have to wait until later in November.

The rumors come from Android Police, which claims to have two independent sources. According to these sources, Google plans to start the planned rollout of Android 5.0 on November 3. Not all Nexus devices will receive the update: only the first and second generation Nexus 7 tablets without LTE support and the Nexus 10 will be equipped with Android 5.0 on November 3, according to Android Police.

The Nexus 4 and 5 and the Nexus 7 tablet with LTE support should wait until later in November before they get the update. Apparently it will take longer for Google to prepare the software update for devices that can connect to mobile networks.

Google previously announced that it will soon start rolling out Android 5.0 codenamed Lollipop. There are already preview versions of Android 5.0 for the Nexus 5 and 7. HTC, Sony, Motorola and LG have also announced software updates for a number of their devices.
