Rumor: AMD will make 10 new Zen 2 and Zen 3 processors available in April
AMD will reportedly start selling ten new Zen 2 and Zen 3 processors in April. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be announced shortly, followed by the rest of the chips on March 15, rumor has it.
AMD is going to announce the Ryzen 7 5800X3D ‘in the coming days’, including prices, Wccftech claims based on its sources. Availability would then follow on April 20. Videocardz spoke of the same availability date earlier this week and mentioned a price of 449 dollars, converted and with VAT that is 493 euros. AMD announced the processor in January. It is a Zen 3 based processor with 64MB 3D V-Cache. 3D V-Cache is cache memory that is stacked on top of the chip and that, among other things, should ensure better game performance.
On March 15, AMD was due to announce the remaining nine new Zen 2 and Zen3 processors. Then, on April 4, the Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 3 4600G, Ryzen 3 4500 and Ryzen 3 4100 would be available. The Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 3 5100 and Ryzen 3 4700 will also appear in April, but Wccftech has not yet announced a date for these CPUs.
If the information is correct, it is probably the latest processors for the AM4 socket that AMD is introducing. In the second half of this year, AMD will introduce Ryzen 7000 processors with Zen 4 cores, which are made at 5nm and are combined with a new AM5 socket.
