Rumor: All Samsung Galaxy S11 versions will get curved screen edges
Telecom journalist Evan Blass claims that three models in the Samsung Galaxy S11 series will appear early next year, with screens of 6.2″ or 6.4″, 6.7″ and 6.9″. All models would get curved screen edges. The current S10e still has a flat screen.
Blass mentions on his Twitter account @evleaks some ‘preliminary details’ about the Galaxy S11 series. He mentions three models, one less than with the S10 series. The S10e does not seem to get a direct successor. There is still uncertainty about the screen size of the smallest model; it would be a 6.2″ or a 6.4″ screen.
According to Blass, the largest Galaxy S11 variant only comes out as a 5g version. It would be a device like the Galaxy S10 5G, which was not released in the Benelux. In the current S10 series, that is also the largest model. The two smaller versions would come out as a 5g and an LTE model. Blass expects the announcement of the devices to take place in mid or late February.
It is not yet clear how large the Galaxy S11 models are and what the aspect ratio of the screens is. It is likely that the screens are elongated. If the screen edges at the top and bottom are further reduced, a larger screen can be placed without the housing becoming much larger.
Samsung introduced the Exynos 990-soc at the end of October, which will probably end up in the S11 series. Samsung specifically mentioned support for 120Hz screens and 108Mp cameras. Last week, a rumor surfaced about the S11’s cameras.
