Rolls-Royce has introduced the Specter, the brand’s first all-electric model. This model should be released in the fourth quarter of 2023. Specter will share the same platform as other Rolls-Royce models.

The automaker hasn’t given many details about the brand’s first EV yet. It seems to be a two-door coupe, similar to the current Wraith. Rolls-Royce says it will build the car on the same aluminum platform as all Rolls-Royce models since 2017. This platform is now used for petrol cars, but according to Rolls-Royce it was developed from the start to be used for electric cars as well .

Rolls-Royce has been hinting at the arrival of an electric car for some time, previously saying that this model would appear “still in this decade.” Now the car appears to be on sale in two years. From 2030, the manufacturer will only build and sell electric cars. Competitor Bentley expects to be able to bring the first EV on the market in 2025, this manufacturer also only wants to sell electric cars in the next decade.
