Rockstar not working on DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2
Rockstar is not working on DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. The developer reports this in an interview with game site VG24/7. Rockstar reports that it is mainly focusing on the game’s online mode, which recently received a major update.
Rockstar sees the plans for online as nothing more than a traditional single player expansion, reports VG24/7. “Our ambitions for Red Dead Redemption 2 were sky-high and when we create game worlds on such a large scale, the single player campaign is almost always leading. Our ambitions for Red Dead Online are just as big.” Rockstar wants to continue working on the online version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Ultimately, Red Dead Online should be as extensive as the single player campaign. This is not surprising, as Rockstar did the same with the online mode of Grand Theft Auto V.
Red Dead Online received the Frontier Pursuits update last month. Among other things, this update introduced several specialist roles. For example, users can play as headhunter to hunt for wanted players. In addition, the update introduced the so-called Outlaw Pass. This could be purchased with 35 gold bars, which can be earned in-game or with real money. A free variant is also available in the form of the so-called Club Pass.
