Rockstar acquires Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games
Rockstar has acquired Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games. The independent studio has since been renamed Rockstar Dundee. It is not known exactly what the studio is working on as part of Rockstar.
The studio in Dundee, Scotland, appears to have made a definitive name change on October 6, according to an official British company register, with the name Ruffian Games Limited being changed to Rockstar Dundee Limited, The Gamer discovered. The takeover has been a fact since October 1; The register shows a document stating that Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive Software has owned 75 percent or more of the shares and voting rights since that date.

The former Ruffian Games was founded in 2009 and consists of developers who have worked on Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto, for example.
