Riot Games Unveils Ruined King as a Single Player Game in League of Legends World
Riot Games has announced its first Riot Forge project. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be a single player story set in Runeterra, the world of League of Legends.
Riot Games hasn’t announced a release date yet, but there is an official site and a first trailer. It will be a story game with turn-based and RPG elements. Players can take on the role of various League of Legends champions and explore the pirate city of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles. In the video, the League of Legends character Thresh can be seen and heard with his signature lantern. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is coming to PC and consoles.
Airship Syndicate, the creator of Darksiders Genesis, is the developer and Riot Forge is going to publish the game. Riot Forge is a recently unveiled publishing label of Riot Games, bringing in third-party developers to create games in the League of Legends universe.
Riot Games itself will eventually come with a tactical shooter that can apparently compete with Overwatch. In addition, a new fighting game, an action RPG and the card game Legends of Runeterra are in the works, all of which are also based on League of Legends.
