Riot Games announces PS5 and Xbox Series version of Valorant
Riot Games has announced a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series variant of Valorant. The first-person shooter should be released at the end of this year, although it is not yet clear when exactly. A public beta will start on June 14.
The console versions of Valorant include according to the developer adjustments so that the first-person shooter should also feel natural with a controller. Riot Games says that the game will not feature crossplay between console and PC, but will feature cross-progression. This means that the progress made in the PC version of Valorant, for example, is transferred to the console version of the game and vice versa.
Riot Games wants to release the console versions of Valorant at the end of this year, but it is not clear when exactly. Players can participate in a limited beta starting June 14. That beta will only be available in Canada, Europe, Japan and the United States. Interested parties can register on the developer's website.
