RiMS Racing Motorcycle Racing Sim Coming August 19th For Consoles And PC
Nacon will release motorcycle racing sim RiMS Racing on August 19. The game will have eight licensed motorcycles from European and Japanese manufacturers and ten tracks. The game is coming to Steam, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and the Nintendo Switch.
Developer Raceward Studio promises on the Steam page a realistic representation of both how a motorcycle rides on a track, and the technical side of a motorcycle. The developer says it has worked closely with motorcycle manufacturers to provide a “highly accurate and realistic” riding experience. Motorcycles from Ducati, MV Augusta, Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki, among others, appear in RiMS Racing.
Players can adjust the individual components of these bikes, such as tire pressure and suspension, to achieve better lap times. In addition, they receive a Motorbike Status Check while racing to monitor the heat of the brake discs in real time. In addition, more than five hundred licensed parts are available to modify the engines. A trailer shows how users can replace rims, brake pads and discs, tires, suspension parts and the ECU, among other things.
The game will have ten official race tracks, including Silverstone, Laguna Seca and the Nürburgring. In addition, there are five road routes in Australia, Italy, Norway, Spain and the United States. RiMS will have an online mode and a career mode. In that career mode, players control a team and must follow a racing calendar, choose which parts of the bike to develop and improve the skills of team members.
According to the Steam page, the game will be released on PC for Windows. There will also be versions for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S and the Nintendo Switch. A suggested retail price has not yet been announced.
