A 26-year-old man suspected of involvement in Silk Road 2.0 has been arrested in Seattle. The man is said to have been the right-hand man of the administrator of the illegal drug marketplace.

The man was arrested in Seattle on Tuesday. The indictment, which Ars Technica is publishing, states that authorities suspect him of being involved in Silk Road 2.0 under the pseudonym DoctorClu. He would have admitted during interrogations that he was the right-hand man of administrator ‘Defcon’.

The man is charged with distributing cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine, among other things, via the drug trafficking platform. A search of the suspect’s home took place on January 2, 2015, during which computers and a large amount of cash were seized, among other things.

In November last year, the alleged manager of Silk Road 2.0 was already arrested. The site appeared online a year earlier, as a restart of the earlier Silk Road that was shut down by the FBI.
