Ricoh has showcased two camera modules for its GXR system at the CP+ photography show in Japan, which allow the use of Leica M and Hasselblad lenses. The company also showed two previously announced lens/sensor modules.

The two GXR modules shown for Leica M and Hasselblad lenses are still prototypes. The first module features about a Leica M lens mount, while a GXR camera with the second module as a sort of digital back wall for a Hasselblad Super Wide Ccamera can be used. It is not known whether Ricoh plans to start production of these modules.

The Japanese company also showed mockups of two previously announced GXR modules. The GR LENS A12 28mm F2.5 module incorporates an aps-c image sensor, while the GR LENS P10 28-300mm features a smaller backside-illuminated CMOS sensor and optical image stabilization. The first module will be released at the end of this year or early next year, while the second will hit the market this summer. The two modules will complement the existing A12 50mm F2.5 Macro and P10 24-70mm F2.2-4.4 VC.
