Retro Games Ltd. will release THE400 Mini on March 28, a compact, updated version of the Atari 400 from 1979. The mini console includes 25 pre-installed games and an updated USB version of the CX40 Atari joystick.

THE400 Mini is half the size of the original Atari 400. An updated CX40 Atari joystick comes with the mini console, but other controllers can also be connected via one of the five USB ports. The console also includes an HDMI port, allowing it to connect to most modern televisions.

According to Retro Games Ltd. THE400 Mini can emulate all 8bit games from Atari. The device comes with 25 pre-installed games, including Bezerk, Millipede and Star Raiders II. It is also possible for the user to add games to the system themselves via a USB stick. This was also possible with the mini version of the Amiga 500, which appeared on the market two years ago.

While playing it is possible to save progress. There are four save slots per game. In addition, the player can rewind the game up to thirty seconds.

It is not yet known what the price of THE400 Mini will be in the Benelux. The console can be pre-ordered via the UK version of Amazon for £99.99.
