Respawn is working on a new first-person shooter in the Apex Legends universe

Respawn Entertainment is working on a new fps set in the universe of Apex Legends and Titanfall. Not much is known about the game yet, except that it will be a single player game.

The game studio already indicated last year working on a new gamebut little else was known. Game news website Dexerto noted Saturday that Respawn is looking for a senior engine/systems designer for the game. In the vacancy for that position states that the game will be “an fps set in the Apex Legends universe.” In another vacancy, for the function hard surface artiststates that the game must be a single player game.

To what extent the game is connected to the Titanfall series is not yet known. Apex Legends, which the new game will be based on, takes place in the same universe as Titanfall. The last game in the highly acclaimed game series, Titanfall 2, was released in 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.
