Respawn Entertainment will announce a soft launch for Apex Mobile on Tuesday. The developer is working with a Chinese partner on the mobile version of the battle royale game Apex Legends. The game will be separate from the original game.

In the announcement Respawn Entertainment writes that the game will be available only to Android users in select countries soon. The players are in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. It is not yet known when the game will be made available worldwide.

That means players in Europe will have to wait a little longer, just like anyone with an iPhone or iPad. The first version of the game is only playable on Android, although an iOS release is planned according to the developer. In the Play Store, players in the selected soft launch countries can register to be notified when the game is available.

Apex Mobile was already announced in early 2020 by Respawn Entertainment. Little news has come out about the title since then. However, the developer has confirmed that the game has no crossplay and Apex Mobile is separate from the PC and console version.
