Resident Evil live-action series to hit Netflix on July 14

The Netflix series about Resident Evil will appear on July 14, the streaming service has announced on Twitter. In addition, the company has shown three posters of the TV series. Resident Evil will be a live action series set in the year 2036.

on the three posters features the TV series’ logo, along with blood spatter, a glass tube filled with ‘T-virus’ contaminated blood, and a ‘joy’ pill. earlier Netflix announced that the script will be written by Andrew Dabb, known as the writer and producer of Supernatural, and that Bronwen Hughes will direct. Hughes has previously directed episodes of The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul.

The series will consist of eight episodes and will run according to The Verge about sisters Jade and Billie Wesker, who moved to New Raccoon City at the age of 14. Sixteen years later, the world has been overrun by the zombie-inducing T-virus and the series focuses on how Jade must survive. Lance Reddick plays Albert Wesker and Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nuñez will also have roles in the film.

Resident Evil is not the first series that Netflix makes about the games. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was released last July. That CGI series was set a few years after Resident Evil 4.
