Renowned indie game Vampire Survivors is released for free on iOS and Android
The popular roguelike Vampire Survivors has been released for free for iOS and Android. Developer Luca Galante unveiled the mobile version during The Game Awards. The Xbox and PC versions of the game currently cost 5 euros.
As far as we know, the mobile version of Vampire Survivors was not announced first and was suddenly available on Thursday Play Store and App Store available. On his website let the developer, who goes by his alias Poncle, know that the entire game is free. There are no microtransactions or loot boxes in the game. He does say that an optional advertisement is sometimes offered after games for which players are rewarded with an extra life or in-game money if they choose to watch the advertisement. He promises that current DLC for the game will also come to the mobile version.
Vampire Survivors was released as an early access title for PC in early 2021, with the full version released on October 20. On November 10, the Xbox Series and Xbox One versions were released, as well as a variant for Game Pass. The game currently has according to steam250.com one of the highest ratings on gaming platform Steam; about 98 percent of almost 160,000 reviews is positive about the game.
The game combines roguelike elements where the player starts over after death, although there are permanent upgrades and new characters to unlock. The game is also characterized by the bullet hell elements, where numerous enemies must be avoided while the character attacks automatically.
