Renders unannounced ‘iPhone 9’ show slightly thicker housing than iPhone 8
Renders of what would become the ‘iPhone 9’ or ‘iPhone SE 2’ have surfaced. According to OnLeaks, the phone has a slightly thicker housing than the iPhone 8 from 2017: 7.8mm compared to the 7.3mm of the iPhone 8.
The appearance is also almost the same, as can be concluded from the renders that OnLeaks published on iGeeksBlog. OnLeaks has often published accurate information about unannounced smartphones. According to OnLeaks, it is a phone with 4.7″ LCD and a single camera on the back. The back is glass again, but this time it is a matte finish, compared to the smooth finish of the iPhone 8.
There have been rumors for months about a new, smaller phone from Apple. It should replace the iPhone SE from 2016. It was also previously rumored that it would be a new version of the iPhone 8. The name is still unknown. Apple announced the iPhone SE in March 2016, it is unknown when this version would come.
