Renders show Sony earbuds with a different design
Renders of new earbuds from Sony, which would be called LinkBuds or WF-L900, have appeared. The earbuds have a different design with two parts. It is not about in-ear models, but an on-ear system.
TechInsider tweeted the renders, but does not list any specs or features other than active noise cancellation. The active noise cancellation must function without passive noise cancellation, as the earphones are not designed to close off the ear. The earplug seems to sit only in the auricle and to produce the sound there against the ear canal.
Sony previously made in-ear models in the form of, for example, the WF-1000XM4. The earbuds would be marketed as LinkBuds or as WF-L900. Nothing is known about the price yet. Sony usually announces new products at the end of February during the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in Barcelona. That fair starts in three weeks, but Sony announced earlier that it would not be physically present at the fair.
