Renders show Samsung Galaxy A53 5G without 3.5mm jack
OnLeaks has put renders of the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G online. The device resembles the A52 in many ways, but the 3.5mm jack is gone. It would be the first time that Samsung omits the audio connection in its popular midrange model.
The device on the renders from OnLeaks, which have been put online by digit, has a housing similar to that of the existing Samsung Galaxy A52 and A52s. On the back is a camera island in the corner with four sensors and a flash, and on the front is a small hole in the screen for the front camera.
The renders show that the device only has a USB-C port. The 3.5mm jack seems to disappear from Samsung’s popular midrange model. All A52 models and predecessors have that connection.
At 8.14mm and 9.73mm on the point of the camera island, the device would be slightly thinner than the Galaxy A52. According to rumors, the new A53 will have a 64-megapixel camera and the same 120Hz OLED screen as the A52.
For now, only information about the 5G variant of the Galaxy A53 has appeared. The A52 came in 5G and 4G versions. According to rumors, there will be no more 4G version of the new model. The Galaxy A52 was released in March. It is obvious that the Galaxy A53 will appear sometime early next year.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 series has been around since 2019 and is good for high sales figures. Last year, the Galaxy A51 was one of the best-selling Android smartphones worldwide, according to analysts. Samsung itself does not disclose sales numbers.
