Renders show possible design of LG V30 without a second screen
Renders have surfaced online that may show the design of the LG V30 smartphone. The renders are based on CAD files and show a device that resembles a slightly larger variant of the G6, with more curves. A second screen is missing.
The renders are originating from @OnLeaks and according to the smartphone insider based on CAD files from the factory. The images show a device that probably has a screen with an 18:9 or 2:1 ratio, just like the LG G6. Presumably, however, the device is slightly larger. The screen would be about 6 “size. The LG G6 has a 5.7” screen.
At the back is a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner. At the bottom is a USB-C port and a speaker, while a 3.5mm connection is placed at the top. Judging by the cad files, the phone’s dimensions are approximately 151.4×75.2×7.4mm. The current LG G6 has dimensions of 148.9×71.8×7.9mm.
If the new renders are correct, the LG V30 will have a more conventional design than its predecessors. The LG V10 and V20 were equipped with a second screen, which sits above the primary screen and can be used, for example, to display notifications.
At the end of May, renders also appeared that showed a new LG concept, of a device with a retractable screen. Insider @evleaks, who released the images, said it was not certain whether it was actually the LG V30. According to an earlier rumor, LG will present the V30 during the IFA fair at the end of August.
